What lashes & brows actually does

Two treatments that work the same way on different hair. A softening solution relaxes the bond inside each lash or brow hair so it can be moved, and a second solution sets it in the new shape. Lashes go up over a silicone shield so they open the eye; brows are brushed upward so they cover the gaps between them. The tint is a lash- and brow-safe dye that darkens the hair, which is what makes fair or sparse ones read from across a room.

What happens at your appointment

Map

We look at how your lashes and brows actually grow, pick a rod size for your eye shape, and agree the brow shape before anything goes on.

Relax

The softening solution goes on for a few minutes. Timing is the whole skill — over-processing is what leaves hair brittle.

Set

Everything is combed into position and the setting solution locks it there.

Finish

Tint if you are having one, a tidy of the brow outline, then nourishing oil and serum.

Yes, and it is how most people book it. The two together change a face more than either does alone, and it is one visit rather than two.

Done properly, no — it changes the shape of the hair, not its structure, and each hair sheds on its natural cycle anyway. What causes damage is over-processing, which is a timing decision. Repeating inside four weeks is the thing to avoid, even when someone asks.

Extensions add lashes and need infilling every two to three weeks. A lift uses only what you have and needs nothing until it grows out. Less dramatic, far less upkeep.

No, and it is the opposite decision. Microblading is a tattoo that lasts a year or more; lamination is a chemical set on your own hair that grows out in four to six weeks. If you are not sure you want the shape permanently, this is how you find out.

Most people stop, or use far less. Lamination covers gaps by redirecting hair over them, so the pencil is doing tidying rather than construction.
