Pre-Care Instructions (Sculptra)
- Avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise for 24 hours prior to your appointment.
- If approved by your provider, pause blood-thinning meds/supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 3–5 days to reduce bruising.
- No dental work, cleanings, or vaccines for 2 weeks before/after treatment.
- Reschedule if you are ill or have active cold sores/skin infection. Not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Arrive with a clean face. Plan to follow the 5-5-5 massage routine after your visit.
Post-Care Instructions
- Expect swelling/tenderness for 24–72 hours. Apply cool compresses in 10-minute intervals on day one.
- Follow the 5-5-5 massage rule: massage treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days (clean hands + gentle moisturizer).
- Avoid makeup, heavy touching, or massaging outside the instructed routine for 24 hours.
- No alcohol, saunas/steam, hot yoga, or strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours.
- Avoid facials, lasers, microneedling, and dental work for 2 weeks. Contact us urgently for severe pain, mottled/white skin, or vision changes.
