Pre-Care Instructions (KYBELLA)

- Reschedule if you have an active infection, cold sore, fever, or are pregnant/breastfeeding.
- Arrive with a clean, makeup-free chin/neck area.
- Avoid dental work and vaccinations for 2 weeks before/after injections when possible.
Post-Care Instructions
- Swelling, warmth, firmness, and numbness are common for 3–7 days. Use cool compresses in 10-minute intervals the first day.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas/steam, hot yoga, and alcohol for 24–48 hours.
- Do not massage the area. Sleep with your head elevated the first night and avoid pressure on the under-chin.
- Use acetaminophen for soreness if needed; avoid NSAIDs unless cleared by your provider.
- Avoid facials, lasers, or microneedling over the area for 2 weeks. Contact us urgently for severe pain, mottled/white skin, trouble swallowing, or smile weakness.
